==============================
1.0 Requirements

1.1 QuickTime 7.x

You must have QuickTime 7.x installed for the plug-in to work. Install the latest
version from Apple's Web site: http://www.apple.com/quicktime.

==============================
2.0 Bug fixes

272138 "Frame Models" should be renamed to "Frame All"
272375  Re-installation issue
296408 Firefox not loading QT plug-in
308056 Add loading symbol to indicate downloading/streaming on web pages

==============================
3.0 Known limitations

3.1 Opening Multiple Files

You cannot open two .fbx files or two QuickTime movie files that contain a .fbx
track simultaneously.

3.2 Mac OS Full Screen

If you use Command-F on Mac OS to switch to full-screen view in QuickTime Pro, it
may freeze. Use the Menu option to switch to full-screen instead.

3.3 Error -36: an I/O Error occurred

This permission error occurs when the file is moved from one shared folder to
another. Use "copy" instead of "move" so the file inherits the new folder's
permissions.

3.4 Windows Server 2003

Problems with Windows Server 2003 cause QuickTime to become unstable or freeze.
To fix this, update your .net framework to version 2.0.

3.5 File/Export limitation

FBX for QuickTime 7.0 does not support QuickTime export. QuickTime export
functionality exports rendered image sequences in BMP (.bmp), Picture (.pct) or
QT Media Link (.qtl) format. Since FBX for QuickTime does not support this
functionality, you may experience unexpected results when you select "Save" or
"Options..." in the QuickTime "Save exported file as" window.

==============================
4.0 Frequently Asked Questions

4.1 How can I get .fbx files to open faster in QuickTime?

Save your file in the QuickTime Player with the "Save As..." option in the menu.
Using "Save As" creates a QuickTime movie that has a .fbx track. Make sure to save
it in "Self-Contained" mode, so that the .fbx file is embedded in the .mov file.
Otherwise you must reference it externally.

4.2 I can see my character, but why is it not positioned the way I saved it or my
animation is not there?

You probably forgot to "Plot" (or bake) your character animation.

4.3 What is "plotting" (or "baking")?

Plotting or baking finalizes your project by copying the animation directly to your
models and/or bones.

4.4 There's no animation in my scene, but it has a special effect shader that is
not moving.

Set your take length to zero so that the Free Running option is activated
automatically when your .fbx file opens in QuickTime.

4.5 When I use a keyboard as a device in a constraint to make my character move,
why is the frame rate weird, or the animation is inactive?

Set your take length to zero so the Free Running option is activated automatically
when the .fbx file opens in QuickTime.

4.6 Why cant I see my textures?

When you export your .fbx file, activate the Embed Media option. This embeds
textures and other media with the .fbx file.
